rear seats

I have the 5-dr hatchback, but without the 60/40 split rear seats. If I were to find the 60/40 rear seats (say from a junk yard or something) would it be possible to swap this in?
We didn't think anything of it when we bought the car, since it was our first car, but it's my biggest regret now not getting the split seats.

Thanks!

hard to find in canada as only the RS model had split-fold rear seats until the 2009 model, if i recall correctly.

its possible to swap the RS rear seats in (or 60/40 seats from the US) with only MINOR modification (as there is a bolt hole not present when you have just the rear bench - - which you need to drill (as the threaded hole is under some sheet metal))

best to look at junkyards in the US if you want a seat that'll match your interior

That's good to know. Minor modification is ok, just happy that it doesn't require completely drilling new holes or something.

When we were getting ours, the Enhanced convenience package had the 60/40 seats, so it's not just the RS.

I'll have to search for the DIY. I looked to see if there was anyone else doing something like this, but didn't find anything.

Found it on microimageonline.com's DIY forum. In case anyone is looking for it in the future....

Looks straight forward enough. I'm not super comfortable doing the drilling, but I know someone perfect for the job.

The only hard part will be finding the seats now!!

Not sure if it is the same person, but I recall someone had left this forum
and taken off all his DIY's. Good to know it is over there.
