will full sized tire on rim fit in spare spot on a 2009 hatch??
Got a bad flat this morning and have close to 75k miles on the current set of pirelli P4s. I usually get around 100k miles+ out of a set.
Since the donut is 9 years old and I'm doing a good bit of driving on it today, and I'd rather replace the main tires in a set of 2 as opposed to one brand new tire now and 3 old ones, I was considering getting a 15" steel rim and just keeping the extra pirelli tire on it and sticking it in the spare area. Any idea if it will fit? It's probably twice as wide as the spare and slightly taller. No doubt it will be heavier - but probably 1000 times better than the space saver and more feasible to drive around on. |
