hmmm damn speaker!!! help please!

Hey guys,

well then, its 10am now and im at work..but this morning when i 1st jumped in my car and started my car, my front right speaker decided to screech on me!! i tried turning the car off and on again, but that didnt help......

i tried fading the music all the way to the left speakers.....that didnt help..

when my car is "on" (as in engine not running) the screeching doesnt start until i start my car (engine running.)

THe screeching only starts when my car is fully on, and not when its "on."

might be bad wiring?? any help would be great! im gonna open my door panel this afternoon to see whats happening!!

Thanks guys!

Sounds like you've got a speaker wire shorted to ground (the car chassis). Are these aftermarket speakers/wiring, or OEM?

Edit: Just looked at yoru garage and can see it's aftermarket. If it was installed by a shop I would be taking it back to them ASAP - it's quite possible you're going to damage something. If you or a mate installed it, better get some lights organised and start pulling it apart :)

Yup everything is aftermarket

My head unit
my speakers
my 4 chan amp..

i just found the problem, as with 4 chan amps theres obviously a switch to go back and forth from 2chan - 4chan.

when i switched over to the 2chan option, it stops screechin. When i switch back to the 4chan option it starts screechin. Only the front right speaker. ARRG!! amp problem???
