I dunno, man... never tried it, but navigation without a touch-screen, especially in a car, does not sound like a good idea...

PSP's are great for lots of little add-on's besides games.
For a cheap Navi unit, unless you already own a PSP, Id just get Navi kit for your PDA. Guessing more own PDA's then PSP's. |

I just pay $9.99/mo thru Verizon Wireless to get GPS on my cell phone. Works pretty good, as long as you can get cell reception.

If you already have a PDA you can buy the software and GPS reciever bundle for about $150.
http://www.buygpsnow.com/mouse-gps_11.aspx I did this for an old Axim X3 I had laying around doing nothing. I got it with the IGuidance software package it it works perfect. |

I just got this:
http://shop4.outpost.com/product/521...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG This thing works GREAT!! I am really impressed, it is nice! fits perfectly on the a pillar on the left. I know its a referb, but it does have a 1 yr warrnty on it. the one I got looked brand new. I had never seen one for this cheap! it links up in about 30 seconds from being off if you start driving right away. if you are in a parking lot and turn your car on and wait a few seconds it links right up. if you link it to your cigarette lighter it will automatically power on when you start your car, you dont have to press the power button each time you get in, which I was initially worried about. I want something that I dont have to mess with each time I get in the car. I updated the maps on it, which for me the 128mb card (better than a hard drive model if you as me, no moving parts) held mass, ct, RI, NY, VT, NH, ME and some of canada! you can get bigger cards too if you want to hold more. |
