upgrade 3 wires to zero gauge to assist w voltage and lights dimming due to heavy bass
1) Battery negative to chassis
2) Alternator to battery positive
3) Chassis to engine

it should
1) Reduced dimming and smaller voltage drops
2) More stable voltage and better current flow
3) Less strain on your vehicle's charging system

You can get a compacitor in any auto music place, with this you won't have dimming at all, I have been to NY since 2005 but it should be a breeze, and with this part you don't need to change you alternator. An extra battery in the trunk hooked up with a compacitor you are good, what's your set up?

i still dont know how to feel about capacitors and an extra battery is gonna make it heavier i already have a heavy battery in the front Kenetik HC1800 gas milage is important to me too, right now i have all pioneer:
AVIC- Z110BT--Head unit
TS-D1720C--Front Speakers
TS-D6902R--Rear Speakers
TS-W3002D4--12" Sub
GM-D8500M--Sub Amp
