I drove my 1KR 5 speed Yaris to the Nordkapp earlier in the year. While i was driving through Germany on the way back i got it to do 177km/h. I was going down a slight incline and had the wind behind me.

Although it really is kind of taxing driving on the autobahn in a fairly slow car because when you see BMW's and Audis coming up behind you in excess of 200km/h you have to get out of the way fast!

Never really pushed either my Yaris or the previous Echo very hard. Found myself at 140km/90mph a few times with apparently still room left on the throttle.

Without trying too hard, I have done 160 km/h in my 1.3 yaris (clock speed). I recon it still had a bit more to go - maybe 170ish

I got up to 198 km/h (123 mp/h) today.
2SZ-FE 1.3l 87hp
5-Speed
I achieved that downhill on the autobahn and with a lot of patience.
When the car approaches 170 km/h (105 mp/h) it really climbs very slowly.
The car barely has enough power to top out in 4th gear on it's own.
You literally need to drive downhill to top out in fourth gear.
And it doesn't top out in 5th. 198 km/h at a little over 5000 rpm.
Rev limiter is at 6200 rpm.

Actually my goal was to get to 200 km/h (125 mp/h) but unfortunately another driver pulled in front of me to overtake a slower vehicle going "only" 150 km/h and i had to slow down a little. I bet the car can get up to 200 km/h if no one is interrupting your attempt. :D

Maybe lighter wheels and tires would to the job. I read an interesting article about the wheels and tires on the Bugatti Chiron. At 400 km/h the forces on the wheels and tires are incredible and i think they said that 3 tons of weight pull on every wheel at 400 km/h.

Oh by the way this engine is bullet proof. I drove 60 mins full throttle basically on the autobahn between Munich and Nuremburg and there was no sign of overheating.
Engine oil was constant at 110 Celsius ( 230 Fahrenheit ), which is pretty high, but unless the engine oil goes over 130 Celsius everything is ok, depending on what oil you have.
Cheap oil won't do the job at 130 Celsius.

Hey man do u have 3.722 final gear? U made hi speed at low revs.. maybe 2nzfe 86hp engine uses so long final? So special cause my 1nzfe 106hp C56 tranny uses 4.312 final..

176km/h or about 109mph? on straight smooth road. Didn't take as long as I thought it would to get there. That was max speed bounced off rev limiter and it slowed down

With my OLD FULLSTOCK automatic 2000 Echo, I went to 182 Km/h...

I guess my manual Yaris can do the same if not better..

Is your D4D the 6 speed? I'd love one of those but I can get a couple used engines for mine cheaper than a turbo or an injector.

161 km/h or 100 mph, slightly uphill, while racing a random van (I won). 2000 1SZ-FE, no modifications other than using "premium" (98-octane) fuel.

Right up and under the governor at around 113-114 mph. Had never gone much over 100 until just last Saturday while on my way to an appointment. Wasn't hard to do. I was trying to pass a group of moving road block idiots on the 10 West. When I looked over at the speedo, I was approaching 115, so I let off. Took no effort whatsoever.

I got up to 206km/h (GPS speed) in 5th gear at about 5500rpm if I remember correctly, happened during easter break here. Took a while to climb to 200+ after 185...

Engine is a 1.3L 92hp full stock, 2007 Yaris. Kept at 205-206 for a good 5 mins, did a 85km trip in 27 mins :P
