"Komfortblinker" (touch turn signal lever once, car blinks three times)

There's a bunch of aftermarket modules for sale on eBay Germany which just get wired into your regular blinker harness. Is this something somebody (cough, CTScott) can rig up and sell, or do I need to order it myself?

The way they work, you touch the turn signal lever once without having it ratchet into the permanent blinking position, just into the position where it would blink until you let go of it, except instead of stopping to blink, it blinks three times. Yes, it's for the lazy. But it also gives off three proper blinks and you don't forget to turn it off nor do you have to hold it in position. It's handy for lane changes.

They were available as OEM accessory for the Daihatsu Charade that was the same car as the second gen Yaris, but I missed the boat on that.

It is easy enough to wire one in on the Yaris. How much are they going for?

20 Euros is reasonable, but anther 45 Euros for shipping isn't. I could definitely make one (and you could tell me exactly how many flashes and in what kind of a pattern you want) for about $50.

morse code flashing hehe. I admit this module and its feature is a bit odd.

On a related note of half toggling the lever, is there something that can be done to make both the high and low beam stay on without having to half toggle the stalk? I find that is useful.

Many of the European cars have this mode for lane changing (you can signal long enough to change without forgetting to turn the blinkers off).

For the hi/lo both on, there is another thread discussing that, but the upshot is you don't want to do so as you will cook either the headlight housing or the bulb connector.
