Crashed Yaris Sedan (US)

This is our 07 Yaris Sedan. We hit a deer at 40 mph in upstate NY. The car took the hit well with no airbag deployment. We were 300 miles from home and actually drove the car home! The car drove like it was brand new, even with all the dammage.

Total dammage was about $5,000 and it took the dealership about 2 weeks to fix it. We got the car back and it looks great! There was mostly cosmetic dammage, though they did replace the radiator supports.

Car warranties cover failed parts, not accidents no matter how they happen. This was covered by our car insurance.

Thanks for posting the incident and the pictures. I am glad that apparently no one is injured. To help get an idea about the ability of the Yaris to protect pedestrians in times of accidents, can I ask whether the deer is just lightly or very badly injured?
