hilly, mountainous roads in GTA?
Hi,
Does anyone know where the hilly and mountainous roads are in the GTA area? Or close to GTA? I am looking to test out my new sway bar and lowering springs. Cheers!! |

no on/off ramps means nothing lol. Forks of the credit seems amazing, is there any other hilly/mountainous roads close to GTA? I will get bored easily just with 1 spot. Cheers!

lol. I actually want to find some roads that I can turn my car a lot without a lot of traffic, cause' since my car has improved in handling I need to test it out. Forks of the credit is good but it doesn't seem to have a lot of curves. :P

...oh it's got curves a-plenty. Unfortunately, it can also have lots of traffic at times.
Go check it out, you won't be disappointed. The bitch of it is, the type of roads you are seeking don't really exist within a short commute of the city.

Haha, I went yesterday and Yes indeed lots of curves. Very low traffic the time I went. Sofar this is the best roads i've ever seen!! The two 180 turns are amazing. I go back and forth uphill and downhill twice just for that! Thanks! Will definately go there again.

Had to run to Orangeville this afternoon. Hit the Forks on the way back home. Ran it 3 times since there was no traffic. Sun was very blinding at times running from east to west. I think that makes about 10 runs so far this year.
Make sure you stop at the Shed in Belfountain for a coffee. Excellent brew, and support a very unique local coffee shop.

Next time I am gonna bring my friend there It's not easy to go fast for me since there might be unknown objects around the corners. BTW, how fast did you go around the 180 corners? I was only able to reach 20kph, on the right side of the lane though. Like did you 'skid thru'? |

I'll try to find it on the map and maybe hit it on the weekend. Just have to get to installing the rear sway and front bushings. Seems like a good place.

Don't know. Not watching the speedo when going through those switchbacks. Too busy looking for cyclists, cars, walkers, and loose gravel. I've slipped on loose gravel before on the lower 180, and I really don't want to do it again. Just give those the respect they deserve, and leave the fun for all the S's.
