Driver Side Axle Seal Seepage

2 weeks ago when i got my oil change at friend's shop he noticed my driver side axle seal was seeping transmission fluid. Told me to get it checked out under warranty at Toyota. My car just had its 1st birthday couple weeks ago, so im definitely under the warranty.

I dont believe i would get trouble for my light modifications to the car but never know what kind of BS Toyota might try. I know about the Magnuson Moss Act and will bring it up if they give me a hard time.

The only modifications i think that could in any way be linked to the transmission are the lowering springs and short shifters. (i really have no clue on transmission stuff).

Thoughts anyone? Anyone have trouble with Toyota on warranties on slightly modded Yaris?

you will be fine, I had an axle and seal replaced under warranty on my 07 when I had it lowered and short shifter.... as well as many other mods, and I had no problems

when did you get yours done? miles? when it was brought to my attention at the oil change car was at 10k so between the last oil change of 5k to 10k could have started to happen at any time.

Seems like lowering the car does something to the dynamics of the rubber parts.....
