AdeJong03's 2009 Yaris-S Sedan Running Log of Mods! (Bride, TRD, Team Dynamics, PG)

EDIT: 5-25-10- new pics on page 4!

Finally the time came when the itch to start modding my car became too much for me to handle.
My goal with the car was to achieve a set up in which i could drive daily but still be able to enjoy through the twisties or maybe occasional track day.
I wanted it to still ride nicely but have aggressive suspension that could handle anything i threw at it.
Also, I wanted to have the car to ride the line between sporty and classy. We'll see if I succeeded.

On friday my car started out the day bone stock. The only mod done to it was my air freshener lol.
I ended up installing these parts:
Full TRD Suspension (Springs, Shocks, and Rear Sway Bar)
Team Dynamics Pro Race Wheels (16x7 +38) with Hankook Ventus HR-2 Tires (205/45)
Bride Euro II Seats with Bride Rails and Weapon R Brackets (Thanks Garm!)
Penguin Garage 10mm Rear Hub Spacers
Muteki SR35 Lug Nuts (Black)

After Installing these parts Ive gotta say, it turned out better than I hoped. It is an entirely different car now, and I am very pleased. I am going to enjoy driving it like this for a while til the urge comes again.

Without further ado, here are the pictures. Enjoy!

At the beginning of the day (before shots)

the parts

the front suspension installed

the half way point (front suspension and one seat)

some quick after shots (the next day)

after a nice wash, all shiny!

and the finishing touch

all comments welcome!

Nice choice on the wheels, where did you find them in 16"? Mostly 15's available in the Pro Race 1.X

So your the one that bought Garms old seats. I like the color combo between the paint and the seats. Good job on the mods!!!

Looks great! Man, I'm totally diggin' sedans lately.

Quick question: The '09s all came with side airbags ... aren't they in the sides of the stock seats?

thanks for all the comments guys i appreciate it!

ill try to answer all the questions if i can

-i got lucky on the wheels from honda-tech. i still surf the wheels for sale section and jumped on those when i found em. the seller barely got them and then sold his civic so they needed to go. they came with them tires. id probably run 205/50 if i could

-red is actually my last choice on color for seats as well but i couldnt pass up garms deal. i actually think it looks pretty nice but my first color choice for bride seats will always be the gradient.

-due to the good deals and discounts i got on all my parts, total spending actually came out to less than $2000 believe it or not

-yep the seats are from garm. he hooked it up!

-i believe the airbags are in the liner of the car. the stock seats were extremely light and i remember hearing someone mention that they come in the liner.

thanks again for the comments guys. as far as future mods go i will probably get tint and the airbag sensor mod soon then try to control myself. (ideally id throw on a supercharger but we can all dream right?) lol

I'm pretty sure "curtain" air bags come out of the headliner, not the seats.

Nice car btw
