Urgent advise Needed MT Clutch & Bearing Spec.

Hi, I have a 2007 Yaris HB,

Just installed a new OEM (2003 Echo) Exedy Clutch kit (Pressure Plate & Disk) + (2003 Echo) release bearing & Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel less than 2 months ago.

I am NOT sure why it disengage so easily just by depress the clutch pedal slightly. When it engaging, it kind of or maybe "slip" & doesn't transfer the power right away!

That makes me wonder, if the 03 Echo OEM Clutch Pressure plate, release bearing or both is/are thicker than my original 07 Yaris parts. If that's the case, it will explain why it give out the "slip" or fast disengaging feeling. I assume that the pressure plate got compressed by the release fork continuously so it lifted the plate to the point it just touching the disk but actually doesn't or won't engage completely?

So my question is, if there is any difference on thickness of the Pressure plate, pressure disk & release bearing between 2007 yaris & 2003 Echo.

For the flywheel, I know it compatible with both model. However, on Exedy website does shows 2 different parts # on the OEM Clutch kit!

Thanks for input, anything help!!!

Victor

did you re-adjust the clutch peddle free-play after the install?

I did adjust the free play already. The weird thing is it only require so little press to disengage the clutch. Therefore I am thinking the thickness of the clutch cover may cause the problem.

One more thing I am suspecting, if the guy that changed my clutch forgot to clean the oil on his hand before he reassemble the new clutch. Do I have any way to clean the oil in between the flywheel and clutch disc without disassemble the whole thing again?
