If we get that body shape with the flared fenders I would seriously consider buying one. Definitely interested to see what the power plant will be if we get the car in the US.

The U.S. market will still be stuck with the Mazda2 version Yaris, & it's consumer-unfriendly straight GDI engine, corner-cutting rear drum brakes on all trims, etc.

The pics presented in the original post just look like a fender-flared racing version of the 2018 Yaris hatch.
