My Yaris Test-Drive experience
Hi, I went for my test-drive today; the Toyota dealership only had two Yarii on the lot, both sedans; drove nice; I told the salesman wanted to custom-order one and that time was not a factor; he gave me a printout of what I wanted on the car (Liftback Manual) and said I would need to put down a $500 deposit to order it (fine); the total price befores taxes, etc... was $12784; he told me after all the taxes, etc...the "drive out" price would be $14,000 which means the taxes, etc.. are $1216 (?????) ; has anyone else seen this much added after the total price for taxes, dealer prep, etc....
just wondering if this is high; still a good price for a brand-new car ! Thanks |

Sounds about right. My taxes were 7.9%. I paid about $1100 in taxes on 15,780.
