Smile A/C can only blow to the feet and side, no central wind anymore

Hi guys,

I have a 2008 Yaris sedan base. A week ago, the A/C only blow to the feet and side no matter what the setting is. The central vent has no air flow at all even when I closed the side vents. The knob seems not working at all.

Is there anyone can give me some advice on what is going on? Thank you.

The cable either snapped or just popped off the back of the knob. Pull the side trim pieces off, pull the Radio trim (or radio) and then pull the AC panel.
