A question about oil change?

This might be a stupid question...
I am about to do oil change to my 07 Sedan. I have just less than 1 liter of unused Mobil 1 Synth oil from the last change in May. Is it ok to use it, together with another (newly bought) jug of exactly the same kind?

Thanks!!

Sure!

In general all oils are made to be compatible with each other. You could mix synth with conventional, 5-30 with 10-40, amd so on.

What you want to do is consult your owners manual and follow its instructions when you have a question.

The only way you really need to be concerned is if it stays in cold weather like winter freezing weather. Pretty much all oil providers tell you to store motor oil above a certain temp to maintain the molecular structure it is supposed to.

^^this. plus ensuring the cap was sealed correctly prior to storage. moisture wouldn't mix with the oil, but the container condensation (inside) can be swept along while you're pouring it.
