meteorite mettalic problem.

My hood has more green in it the the bumper and fenders so under lights at night i can noticibly tell the hood is green compared to all the other panels! im really annoyed, but it is worth getting a warranty repair to fix it?

Factory paint is always going to be better than anything they do later on.. unless they have replacement hoods readily available.. hmm just drop by the dealer and ask them to take your hood off and replace with one on the lot..

but would he not possibly end up with the same problem or worse off since the new hood would be from a different coloration batch?

i wonder if the metal of the hood gives the paint a slightly different look than the plastic of the bumper.

I agree ...and according to my friend's 20 years experience in painting vehicles, he confirms me this point, the difference of the painting on metal and palstic materials is more obvious to some specific colours, such as blue, green, and dophine grey...

i'd believe that, the paint on the plastic bumper of my old car aged and became dull compared to the metal parts, so it started to look like 2-tone.

you know, the hood and side panels in that picture do look like a different colours than the bumper, but maybe it is under diffused lighting conditions (you mentioned at night) that it becomes apparent,
have you noticed it in bright sunlight?

i dont get why the hood is a different color than the fenders and bumper. that rules out the plastic/metal excuse. also, ill have to look in the daylight tomarow.

well the hood is metal and the front bumper area is plastic, so that wouldn't rule out the plastic/metal theory.

you can also see the difference between the front quarter panel (metal) and bumper area (plastic)
