Briggs and Stratton lawnmower tune up kit ; 99 cents at Tractor Supply

Some stores may be $2.99 , found it for 99 cents as a clearance item ( yellow tag ) . May want to call local T.S. store to see if in stock .

I've been asked several times if my Yaris had a Briggs & Stratton powering it, so this is very appropriate!

Maybe the mods can move it over to the DIY / Maintenance / Service sub-forum!

Be nice if a tuneup for a YARIS was as cheap . If you bought the B&S oil , spark plug , air filter , and stabilizer separate it would cost well over $15 . Needed a new air filter for the mower , that cost over $6 .

Good info, just not much of a B&S fan, currently using a Honda powered push mower and a Kohler powered rider. New Briggs engines are very delicate and will self destruct if oil from the crankcase by-passes the piston rings into the combustion chamber. Also if possible use only ethanol free gasoline in any of these small carbureted engines, ethanol fuel will drastically shorten their life span!!

The kit was listed for 99 cents at their site under Mower Attachments , Accessories , and Parts . May need to put in your ZIP to see price in your area . We have a Honda 160cc as well , mulches grass very well . Less bags to empty and fewer passes over the area . The old Yard Machine uses that kit , don't expect it to last much longer . Just picked up a John Deere D130 with a B&S 22 h.p. V-twin and 42" deck . Used it once , did very well . Surprised it was so quiet . Plan to use Pennzoil Ultra 10w-30 after the 8 hour break in period . Got the P.U. for less than $4 a quart .
