x3kenster's Prius C build

Hey guys, just thought I'd make a thread for my Prius C's modification progress. I purchased the car last month on May 16th. I have a lot of little plans for it but mostly just to make it look clean and simple. If I can't go fast, might as well look good going slow!

The night I traded my 2007 GS350 AWD in for my 2013 Prius C3

MAY 16th 2013

So far, I picked up a set of protoype Megan Racing coilovers from Garm at MICRO IMAGE. Garm and Jeff are great guys and very knowledgeable. Jeff took care of me and made sure I had everything I needed and took the time to answer any questions I had. Definitely recommend these guys!

My wheels should be coming in sometime this week as well. Also ordered through MICRO IMAGE.

Future Mod List:
Roll/shave fenders
Tint windows
Axleback exhaust
Hid headlights/fogs
LED interior/exterior
Shark fin antenna
Aftermarket lip kit
JDM rear spoiler
Do something about the chrome headlight/taillights
Possible black out front bumper/rear/and roof

Thats all I can think of so far. Thanks for looking and please check back for updates !

Kenny

Oh, and last but not least, I want to give a big thanks to 1.5 aka Phil on this forum. Hes been very helpful with answering any questions I had regarding parts, wheel specs, tire specs, suspension info etc.

Installed tires and test fitted the wheels. Need fenders rolled/shaved, more camber, and more low.

I read Onwrdigo's post re what he read in Automobile Magazine. So we now know that the first French Built Yari are on their way and that production will shift to Mexico for the 4th Generation '2016.5'.

Anyone have any info on the future path of the Prius C? How much longer it will continue to be built in Japan? Will the second generation start as a '2016.5' like the Yaris? -- etc.

That might be dependent on demand. Around here, the C is getting more and more numerous, though I don't know the actual sales figures. I do know I see a lot more of them than the new Yaris.

Thats the plan

Some updates for now... Im waiting on my rear camber shims from realcamber.com to come in so i can install them and get the fenders shaved and roll with the wheels installed. Although, ive been having some second thoughts on these wheels and everytime i look at them, they seem to be getting bigger and bigger and making me want to sell them and get 16s instead...

Any thoughts on 17s vs 16s?

From the one pic you posted with the wheels on the car, I think it looks great. Post more pics, shot from different angles, so we can see what you are talking about.

thanks. I think i will stick with the wheels for now and see how they look after proper fitment and alignment.

Havnt really done much to the car since the last time i posted but i did get my windows tinted 20% all around.

These bad boys finally came in from Realcamber.com -3 rear camber shims

Hopefully i can get some fender work done soon, go lower, and get an alignment.

^ Nice. Are those the same as the ones for the Yaris? I've been meaning to try our hub spacers on mine.
