No genius.. My girlfriend took over payments on my Yaris. That's why I bought the Automatic was for her. When I test drove the manual version, I didn't like not having a tach. I'm used to having one, since all of my honda's have had them. The '08 would be for me.

Another South Dakota Yaris, Welcome... I'm in Rapid City.

I've heard good things about Billion Toyota. Out here we have Toyota of the Black Hills and they SUCK! I went to Greeley, CO to get mine. Congrats on the purchase.

then you must be aware that my post wasn't aimed at you, but at people buying the 08 when they already have an 07. most of the people talking about buying an 08 in this thread are people that don't already have the car... including you since you gave your car to your girl. i guess no one here is trading in their 07 for an 08 with a tach. sorry if i was confused.

Yep, and different interior fabric with some leather trim, but that's about it.
The good thing though is that as a "sport model" it may be easier to get one with some options.

ah, doesn't look like i'll be feeling buyer's remorse then. i just picked up a manual 07 LB and was disappointed to find out it has no tach (i tested an auto and assumed the manual came with a tach.) i'll get a scangauge to take care of that tho.
