Maintenance light coming on.....?

Help please, I recently change my oil about a Week ago.. And the maintenance required light comes on and blinks now. Is there a way to reset this or something. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. This is my first topic, sorry in advance if I posted in the wrong spot

That's because you changed your oil before its time, you should wait until its time, now to reset that baby, you should:
1. Turn the ignition key to the off position with the trip A reading shown.
2. Turn the ignition key to ON position while holding the down the trip meter she will reset and your good to go.

Thanks u, I changed the oil a little early but it was the first one I did since I got the car from the dealer. The oil looked almost black, i think it was long overdue lol.

That also depends on the driver and climate, plus if it was black then it was way past due, when I change mine its always clear, but then again when that light comes on she is change ASAP, good luck buddy.

The main thing is that you changed it. And going by the maintenance reminder isn't a bad way to go. If you keep changing it before you hit 5,000 miles or six months, your engine shouldn't have any oil related problems.
