Turbo kit for cheap!!!

Well... not exactly but....

365 motorwerks is selling a xB manifold + downpipe + turbo for $850

This would make for great start point for the people looking to go custom...

http://www.scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170840

Just thought someone might be interested.

You'll have to toss the downpipe and make a new one -- which renders it not quite as cheap. The xB downpipe hits our subframe, at least it did mine.

Secondly, what kind of turbo is included in that kit? I don't think it could be a Garrett at that price!

Most people would have to pay for that modification. It's not one cut and one weld. It would be each person's choice to do that or make a new one. My POINT was that it won't bolt on and fit on a Yaris as is.

... Yeah is not 100% bolt on.

But as Tamago has stated before the modification of the downpipe is not that complicated.

Although this one is pretty similar to the TurboToyotas Down pipe that Garm tossed away... is not the same. So if some one gets this for a Yaris it would have to do a test fit to determine how much should be modified...

Anyway, this is for a DIY'er... for some one looking to piece his own kit. This would get him going!

it sure would. and yes, I believe that is the same downpipe I had. (gave it to someone on here, as I recall)

And I agree with Tamago, if you can't do it yourself, you should have some good friends... with tools... and a lift..... and more tools.

Just to clarify... this is not a take off from a turbo toyotas kit. This is from a kit that 365motorworks developed for the xb1.

Their FULL kit is close to $4K if I remember correctly and it comes with management, injectors and everything...

anyway... a good deal.

I'm sure if you want to buy the 3 parts you could probably negotiate a better price.

Don't let it pass!

Are you kidding! the BFH is my favorite tool... it gets the job done when no other "modern" tool can...

Just the other day I fixed a bad tire rubbing problem in my AE86... 10 minutes of gentle fender massaging with the BFH solved the problem for good.

Back to the downpipe... if the clearance problem is not that big it could be force bended...

MY ZIP IS 77051, AND TRUST ME IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE YARII AWHILE DONT PUT THE E BAY CRAP ON YOUR CAR UNLESS IT IS A TRUSTED NAME LIKE TURBO TOYOTAS OR 365 MOTORWERKS. YOU ARE BETTER OFF PIECEING TOGETHER YOUR OWN TURBO KIT LIKE IM DOING NOW, AND RUNNING A LOW CONSISTENT BOOST PRESSURE.

You can't properly boost the Yaris (or any car for that matter) for $500. Please don't attempt to.
