Hopefully something easily fixed. Having a CEL all the time is annoying.

yeah, it is a little hard to swallow, but when it makes something plug/play as and you want to have things as close to professional as possible you pay the price. I paid 1800 for the wiring kit for my 59 Chevy Apache when I built that.

The parts are very expensive to make this PNP harness. Also Boomslang has to make a profit on their investment. He made this without any assurance of us buying it. If more people step up & buy the harness, Im sure the price will go down......

Paid 900$ for the greddy emanage ultimate kit made for the NCP91... and have no issues.

It's not a big deal to paid 400$ for the AEM FIC and 499$ for the boomslang harness, especially when it's an universal product not specified made for your car with no basic map.

My fic and harness both were only 650.
why so expensive for the harness?

As long as there is a wiring harness for each ecu whether its edm, jdm, usdm. im sure its not hard for them to get that.

i happily paid for mine because it gets rid of any error i can make wiring. just plug in the vacuum line and harness and its ready to tune.

The yaris harness is more expensive cause its a newer vehicle that an Echo. Also the plugs are more expensive. The Yaris & Echo only share engines, everything else is different....

Well upon initial impressions I can say that it seems to work like a charm. Made the 750 mi "first" drive home from Miami to Bama safe and sound. We still have a CEL, but I am figuring it is from the O2 sensor...

^ It's very likely the result of a down stream MAF. I'm curious as to why he chose that design?

BTW - thoroughly enjoyed the pics. Very clean. Thanks

I will say thanks on his behalf since he designed it. I was actually embarrassed when I popped my hood when I got there with how dirty I felt it was under the hood. I do know that I need to clean up my battery and the terminals. I am having some big issues on my positive terminal and deposits. As for the placement of the MAF I am honestly not sure on that one.

This is the reasoning provided by Carlos:

I choose that design for the following reasons:

1 the MAF wires would need to be extended if mounted on the inlet side

2 the MAF is reading actual air flow and temp into the engine

3 I ask a friend of mine who has built some of the fastest Supras around and only works on Toyotas, his shop is Toyomoto, he advise me that was the best spot
