Giver! It's actually not that expensive to do. The whole lift cost well less than $2000 and that includes $900 for tires, $200ish for the 2" kijiji wheel spacers, $260ish for the extended arp wheel studs (OEM lug studs were a bit short for the wheel spacers) and $100 for the exhaust work. The tires were well over half of the cost!

Update: 3500km and not a peep from the suspension!

No sir. Air tank and compressor

I've actually had them installed for a couple years now. Flip a switch and the factory horn opens the 3/4" air valve.

I though maybe you were planning to do an air ride suspension with your new lift.

That will be one LOUD horn. A video is a must...both for the horn and for the 'honkin' suspension.

As soon as I can get it in some snow I'll take a video. Currently in ottawa for work, way from the car. I'm actually disappointed I'm not able to drive it in this latest blast of winter were getting.

Update:
5,000km and everything seems good!
I can even turn the wheels lock to lock without rubbing!
Although I believe I may need to trim the front fenders a little more. For instance, when making a right into an elevated driveway with a bit of speed, there's minor rubbing. No biggie, can fix this in 5 min.

The car gets a ton of attention. Everyone wants to roll their window down at red lights and have a chat. Countless pics have been taken while rolling down the hiway. Shortly after I was finished the car a coworker said to me "your car is all over Instagram" which I chuckled at because I dont have Instagram. I even had an elderly woman say "wow!, that's awesome! Good for you!"

Still waiting for some more snow to make a video.

Update:
So I was driving to ottawa from toronto this past sunday morning. There was a storm. It wasn't great driving conditions. I hit a rather large lump in the hiway and when the car settled, it shot violently to the right. Controllable but not too fun. Now I will admit I was using the cruise control in conditions that did not warrant it. I believe a front wheel lost traction and spun excessively. When it regained traction it pulled me to the right.

I will keep an eye on this.

Also earlier that day we had about 2 inches of ice pellets fall. Driving back roads the car was pretty squirly. Now driving in slush is always challenging. I can only imagine the ice pellets mimicked the conditions found while driving in slush. I'm chalking it up to that.

Otherwise in the hard pack snow and fresh snow, I was happy with the stability of the car.

No time to make a video yet. Will do as soon as time allows.

It does need some flares to smooth out the sides, though ;)

It has thin mud flaps to cover the protruding tires. It's not a wide body but they do the job of keeping road spray down.

This thing is rad as hell. I haven't been getting my emails for the updates! all I need to finish mine is tires but sadly I keep having to spend $ on other things. I need to fix my exhaust now, it's leaking at the manifold - cat flange and rotted to hell. that will kill 3-400 bucks I could have put towards my tires.
