I'm waiting for that to arrive from China. I bought the wrong charger port. The one that is on your link is too big to fit into a Yaris slot. The ebay seller was able to send me a smaller one and I'm waiting for the usb adapter to arrive from China.

So I received my chinese made usb extension cable today and when I plugged it into my unit and then plugged my lightning cable to the other end of iPhone 7, the music was very choppy. It was cutting in and out and sounded like I was in a helicopter.

Does anybody have the same experience?

What plugs into the other end of the usb conversion cable PT546-00120-US? Is this not used since I got the chinese made usb extension cable?

Can you provide a Toyota OEM USB Extension cable part number and USB Port that I can install in my vehicle? It's always a hit or miss with the chinese made knockoffs on ebay.

Thanks

I have an Android phone and play music using Bluetooth wireless connection. The Bluetooth wireless connection displays a song's title on the radio screen, and I can also use car's radio to skip tracks.

I'm not familiar with the Toyota OEM USB connector or cable, but good luck looking for a solution. The radio's manual mentioned compatibility with iPhone 4 which used 30-pin iPod connector, so could be software compatibility issue with radio and a iPhone 7. The USB connection is best used for playing music from a USB drive with MP3s on it.

Good to hear that the t10018 will work fine with those two adapters. What did you mean by not having to buy the mic and usb? Does bluetooth streaming work without the mic or is there one built into the head unit?

I bought the t10018, so to answer my own questions:

Yes, the bluetooth streaming will work without the mic. There isn't a mic built into the head unit. In order for calling to work properly the microphone kit must be purchased.

For those that want to follow the same: picked up the head unit itself on ebay for ~$160, then the two PT546-00120-AD and PT546-00120-CH from a local Toyota dealership for about $26 each. The Mic kit will run me $67 so I'm trying to decide if it's worth it for making & receiving phone calls. It's something I rarely do and still have the old battery powered bluetooth adapter on the visor I could use for just that purpose. I've read bad things about the voice quality on that expensive mic kit, too. If anyone has a different opinion then please let me know.

The radio I got from ebay happened to come with the proprietary USB cable but I don't have anything to plug it into and I don't really stream things off USB sticks anyway.

I wonder if I would need the adapter harnesses to use this unit in my 3rd gen, especially since my car came with Bluetooth from the factory(pretty sure all Canadian market 3rd gens do actually).

I have the 2015-17 Yaris infotainment in my 2014 currently and it was a 5 minute plug and play install.

Do the eBay Scioin radios need to be "programmed" to work with Yaris? security feature work-around required?

Thanks!
