My wifes car did the same thing. It's black metallic.
Heed my warning! If you plan on a respray, make sure to sand off ALL of the clearcoat with 220 grit and then finish the car with 320 or 400. If you don't remove the clear and all of the clear, it will still break down and show scatches, etc weeks or months later. I resprayed my wifes car in a friends warehouse. It came out O.K. I used a PPG OMNI single stage. Same paint code. The "kit" was about $280. It sucks to have to paint a late model car that has never been wrecked. Eventually, the clear cracks and the paint down to bare metal gets exposed and the roof and hood will begin to rust. You see a LOT of Yaris and Corollas with rusted roofs, trunks and hoods. |
