ac compressor bearing replacement.

anyone ever replace the ac compressor bearing, car has 145000 ac works perfect but the bearing is shot. I have it bypassed for now with a shorter belt but summer is on it's way. I have a full shop with tools so I can get it apart, just need to know if it can be done and if anyone hads the bearing number or dimensions! thanks

A few have asked about it, but I am not aware of anyone actually trying it. Toyota doesn't break it down that far in the parts catalog, so it would be a matter of pulling them and measuring them.

Since yours is out of service and you have the equipment, you should give it a shot. I should have kept Crashy's cracked one to experiment with, but back when I pulled it it was dripping oil, so I just trashed it.

Just make sure to plug the lines when you pull it to prevent contamination.

35bx5212dst2b1 bearing number, I broke the composit pully while removing the holding cap, also the pot metal clutch bu,per, if thats what it's called was snapped too. looking up parts now. The bearing is easily replaced, but the other parts are impossible to find. If you are carefull with the teardown you may be in luck but the bumper pot metal has been posted as an issue before.
