Cool injectors

Hi...I have a 2001 1.5 t sport and was hoping for some help and info about how to change the injectors like how do I get them out to start

1. Depressurize the fuel system first (on your MK1, remove the EFI relay in the under-bonnet fuse box) and try to start the car.

2. Remove the plastic engine cover

3. Disconnect the injector connectors

4. Remove the plastic cover over the fuel rail to fuel line connection and disconnect the rail from the line.

4. Remove the fuel rail (two 10mm bolts mount it). In theory you have to remove the entire valve cover because the fuel rail is held captive by a notch on the valve cover, but I find that I can lift the fuel rail off the injectors and maneuver it just right to allow me to change injectors without removing the valve cover. You can also cut off the end of the retaining notch with a grinder or hack saw to allow you to fully remove the rail.

Make sure you buy replacement o-rings BEFORE you try and remove the injectors. Odds are good that you will cut at least one o-ring in the process. Try to clean out the area around the bottom of the injectors to keep sand/dirt from falling into the cylinders. Also, be prepared to have gasoline spill on the engine and yourself.

I have been looking for this information glad i found it

I have 1NRFE
i am looking to.access the fuel line to xlean injectors using the pipe method

I would be grateful if anyone can share some photos of the black connector that connect the fuel.line with metal rail how to.safely disconnect and reconnect that plug thing
