My beef from the day I bought it (Nov 2005) is the rear wiper washer switchology. Why on earth would it be wired to spray only when turning the tip of the stalk in one direction and spray with wiper whne turned against the spring in the other direction and then spring back to continuous wiper. One must then manually turn the wiper off once the window is clear.

I would like to be able to push/turn a switch to spray, then after releasing it, the wiper would run for 3 or 4 sweeps and stop (like almost any front windshield wiper washer switch).

Has anyone come up with a mod to accomplish this?

Would a wiper stalk from an 05/06 camry work on the 07 yaris sedan?

I just got my stalk and followed your instructions to the letter. Took me about 20 minutes. Awesome DIY.

The intermittent stalk has a ring that you rotate to select the delay between wipes when in intermittent mode. It allows much greater variation than with the stock stalk, which only has one delay period in intermittent mode.

That's the same as the US one.

The intermittent stalk turns the slow wipe into about 6 different choices of slow.

Is it just my car or does everyone's rear sprayer just "run" fluid down the middle of the window?, it looks like you are pouring it out of a 1/8" hole out of a 20oz pop bottle. No spray pattern like the front washers. This is my first car w/rear wiper/washer.

I keep asking silly questions, but I learn new stuff every day, like stability control gets pissed (and beeps) if you pull the e-brake to make a 180* turn on ice/snow, it will actually apply the brakes on the car to stop you! so my 180 only winds up to be about 110. I have not tried it with the traction control off yet!

Only way to learn is by asking; Have you checked to see if there's blockage on where it shoots out? Mine doesn't do that; and it didn't when I had an '02 Blazer either. If not that then. . perhaps a small leak in the line somewhere?

does the wiper stops or go slower when you stop the car e.g. red light?

No - The wiper is completely independent of the rest of the car.

I wouldn't mind that ;)

You can have that with my intermittent rear wiper module. It takes advantage of the extra switch position, which is not implemented when you install a Prius wiper on a Yaris. I can build the module where the delay is adjustable (where it has a potentiometer that you mount to the dash) or where it is a fixed delay (where you simply bury the module under the dash and forget about it).

[QUOTE=CTScott;347776]The intermittent rear requires a module and an extra wire, which the Yaris doesn't have. I picked up the module from a Prius, but it needs feedback from the rear wiper motor, which the Yaris's wiper motor doesn't provide.

Any chance that the Prius rear wiper motor could work on the yaris with some modifications in the hatch? Sorry if this was asked already...

It would require quite a bit of work and extra wiring to the steering column, but it could be done. You would also need the prius rear wiper motor, rear wiper relay module, and the wiper stalk.
