whats the review on this from the yaris owners...anyone.

economy= mpg ?
normal =
sp1= mpg ?
sp2= mpg ?
sp3= mpg ?

if im not mistaken the only one who has one is echo hrs who currently doesnt have a running yaris bcuz of the blitz supercharger.

maybe he or cali should send me one to test out

i'd like to know how it would work with a modified Tb setup since i have the corolla TB from a 1zz and not the stock TB

all its going to do is boost the signal from the pedal to TB. allowing for quicker reaction times off the line if u were drag racing or just a faster responding TB. i dont believe theres a boost in power. just the same power sooner

after an hour of researching.. the only thing i came up with was it double.triple,then quadruple the percentage of gas feed. so pressing gas 10% with sp1 your like pressing is at 2x the %,sp2 3x and sp3 4x.the %....

yaris t-sport has one...pivot is also making one for a very reasonable price but only has 3 settings, think!

It works, but you have to understand what it does.

It does NOT make your car faster (0-60, 1/4 mi., etc.) or affect the actual horsepower at all. It does not open up the throttle farther than it already opens. It does not affect fuel mixture or delivery to the cylinders.

It simply changes the the message from the pedal to the ECU to make it think that you are pressing the pedal down farther than you are.

It makes the car FEEL faster in normal driving, BUT... IF you just drove by slamming your foot to the floor, you'd never ever notice the function of this device.

Does that help explain it?

the controller arrived at work. i will install it tonight after my shift ends. ill let you know the results. ill also be doing an oil change to royal purple synthetic as well at the same time

controller is installed but i still have 2 hrs till i can leave to test drive it. :( i still have to do my oil change too. i thought the controller plugged into the throttle body but it connects to the tps on the pedal. so no going through the firewall needed!

I was told by YarisDarkness that it lessens the lag felt with the drive-by-wire throttle by telling the ECU that the throttle pedal is pressed further than it actually is.

For Blitz supercharged engines, it is most useful if you're setting your S/C for 50% throttle cut-in. The car would normally be its normal sluggish self until your pedal reaches 50% when the S/C kicks in abruptly. With the trottle controller, the throttle response is more responsive so when the S/C kicks in at 50% you won't feel as much of a lurch.

I tend to run my S/C at 20% throttle cut-in at the moment so the Throttle controller would not be as noticeable. I spend most of my time with my rear-view mirror air freshener hanging horizontally due to the massive acceleration.

it is an extremely easy install, just plugs in inside the cabin.

all i can say is wow. the throttle is so much more responsive down low. when taking off in sp3 mode its like driving a whole new car. not to mention the 1st to 2nd shifts feel a lot torquier (sp?). Definately a good mod once you have done other stuff. I have not dont anything engine wise except for pulleys. i know the 2nd pic may be hard to see where it is but its nice and cleanly installed. :)
