very very VERY gently tap it forward with a rubber mallet. if that dosnt work try taking it off? just make sure you make everything first. maybe try lossening some of the other bolts?

Were you able to loosen the lower alternator bolt? That one is a bitch to loosen.

When I did mine I didn't bother moving the alternator forward to release tension on the belt, I just removed the crank pulley with the tension on it, and installed the new pulley.

I have the underdrive pulley so I had to pull the alternator forward towards the bumper to increase the belt tension, which was easy.

If you have just the lightweight pulley I don't know if that way will work since the diameter is the same, but it may! I'd be worried about cross threading the crank bolt since you might have too much tension on the pulley and it may not seat straight.

What happened to Klinton? Did he get it fixed? I'm just reading this, and I can't tell what was "broken" exactly.

I just used a pry bar and gently levered it forward. It didn't take take that much force to bring it forward honeslty. like i coulda put the force of two finger to bring the alternator forward with the pry bar hahaha
