getting full power from intake exhaust and more

I have noticed that a lot of people put in intakes and new exhausts and I heard one time that you never get the full effect from these if you don't have a turbo or nos is this true.

No, you don't get the full effect if you don't have some way of tuning the car.

IMO I don't think that is true. I think that intake/exhaust is a good combo to gain power. You definitely won't get the gains you want with exhaust alone. Usually an intake alone will still gain power because of the restrictions of the stock intake. Usually exhaust don't gain much because they are too big and free flowing unless you have a lot of power to push it.

Actually, with a CAI,open exhaust, new header, you will feel a pretty good diffrence all around, and alot more on the top end.I also save more gas now,I would only get 2 more things to open here up,intake manifold, and new free flow cat.converter.I still havnt decided what I want next, maybe nos, maybe turbo,Im waiting on Chino's experince with NOS.

Every piece is like a piece of a big puzzle. Add another small piece and you will get that much closer to the final goal.
