2010 Yaris Stereo Install Help

Hello everyone,

Long time toyota owner, first time yaris owner.. need some help from you guys.

I have a new 2010 Toyota Yaris that I'd like to customize a bit. I want to add a Pioneer DEH-6200BT CD Receiver to the car.

In order to do this I'll need a new face plate for the front dash (to accomodate a double din stereo), a Wiring Harness, and a kit to hold the single din receiver I'm getting in place with a cd holder like this:

Now I've replaced the car stereo's in my 2001 Corolla and 1996 Camry but this car seems like a whole new beast.

Can you guys point me to places to get all the pieces I'll need? I have no idea where to get the faceplate (as seen in that picture) and I'm having trouble locating a wiring kit as well. It would be a HUGE help!

Essentially if you can help me find all the pieces that guy has in his that'd be perfect. I'll also need install instructions but I'm sure if I do some digging I'll find those.. but if you have a link available that'd be great. Thanks!

UPDATE:

So far the pieces I have are:

Metra 70-1761 Radio Wiring Harness
Metra '07-UP Toyota Yaris Radio Install Kit

Also, I know that I need to order the dash bezel Part #55405-52640 but are there any cheap places online to do so or should I go through my local dealer?

Can anyone verify this?

Will the Dash bezel Part #55405-52640 I found here work in a 2010 yaris?

Or is there another place I should be looking at for this part?

I have an 07 sedan and #55405-52640 is the one i used for my deck. I bought mine from the dealership for about $63 w/ tax (retail was like $90.00). I wouldnt buy the ebay replicas as ive heard comments of it being 1" short from the top leaving a big ol gap, but again that was ONE comment i saw a while ago, and i didnt want to risk it. Good luck!

i use crutchfield.com for research, its sooo helpful :)
they tell you the part # you need for the dash (already posted), provide wiring harness, dash kits, etc.
for the dash kit price, you could go either way online or local. online with shipping costs are about the same as going to your dealer. i bought mine for trdsparks.com for $62.70 + shipping = $73. goodluck.

Why do you need that factory replacement bezel? Stock one doesn't work with an aftermarket deck?

Oh wait. Is the bezel only required for sedans? I have an '07 3dr and it looks like all i need is the install kit... I guess i need some clarification! Thanks!

Smile Bezel for sedan 2010

The factory bezel is only required for the sedan. Most of them come with premium radio's installed, and that is basically the whole bezel.

any questions just leave ?'s on this thread

FPG : I'm doing the same thing right now with my 08 Yaris Sedan. Question - Where did you find the installation instructions? I've taken out the factory radio and I have no idea how to install the Metra 70-1761. Thanks for the help.
