Random pictures, went to my buddy Corey's house for some Coronas and threw on some stickers in the rear. Style Over Comfort, and my Vape Life Co. sticker in white instead of black haha.

So after realizing I STILL had some reverse rake going on, I raised the rear once again, and also took out the spare tire (aka weight reduction, lmao jk) But, I am definitely happy with the results and the car barely EVER scrapes in the rear now, even with passengers, which is amazing. On roads I usually would hit my subframe pretty hard I now can go over with no issues. Front still scrapes only when turning, so that doesn't bother me too much. Maybe I will do some more work to the front fenders in the future. I start my mental health specialist program tomorrow and it's about a 45 minute commute both ways, so the fact I raised the rear actually helped make me much more comfortable and confident to drive it around, especially if I have some classmates ride with me. Subframe is still about 2" from the ground though. I'm also excited to start my serving job, so hopefully with tips will bring me some better income for more legit parts ;) I'm just enjoying the car, so here are some random pics of her being thirsty ;) I'm also thinking about removing my mud flaps. They look so tiny in the rear cause of my wheels lol. Thoughts?

When you're running around that low, half an inch can make all the difference in the world lol. Yea the mud flaps look a little goofy with how wide the wheels are. I might look better with some "rally style" ones.

Edit: Like these, they'd cover more of the tire so it wont look as goofy

Ugh I want that exhaust. But yeah man that half an inch was beautiful lol and it still looks pretty good. So I'm happy.

How does it do on the freeway?

After lowering mine just a few inches with S Tech's, I get some rubbing when going through gutter dips too quickly and when hitting uneven spots on the freeway at higher speed.

I get virtually no rubbing on the freeway haha. Well I mean with the exception of really big bumps, but other than that, even on normal imperfections I get no rubbing. Definitely happy with that, thanks to the max dampening and 10k/8k Swift springs haha.

Hmm...I might need to look at getting new wheels, rolling the fenders, something...it's not that bad, but it bugs me a little...

It's probably just because you're on 17s. Fender rolling would definitely help too of course. When I had Tein S Techs I had 15x7 +31 offset (Because of my 10mm spacers) And they never rubbed even with passengers haha. My exhaust did. I had a Tanabe Medalion at the time but I decided to sell it cause it hung way too low and I wanted to get my coilovers and wheels instead.

The thing is, the official wheel and tire guide thread says that 205/40/17 is a commonly used size for lowering. I've also seen other posts from members running the same wheel size and springs, asked them about rubbing and they claim they get none. Some have asked me what my offset is, but I don't know what it is. As far as you know, can offset make the difference between rubbing and no rubbing on the same wheel size?

Ahhh I see! Yes man offset could definitely be the reason why you're rubbing.

Well, shit lol. Thanks, Now I can think about rolling fenders, or just getting new wheels since mine have some battles scars on them anyway.

Haha no problem! Definitely roll the fenders regardless if you can. You'll be fine with around 30 offset. If you want to go flush just add some camber and you'll be fine. I had to roll, pull, and flare my rears to fit +10 offset. So it really comes down to what look you're trying to go for. Let me know that, and I will help you as much as I can haha. Here are my two wheel set ups:

Top:
15x7 +31 (with the 10mm hub spacers, no negative camber) Enkei RPF1 (Really wish I kept those)
Bottom
16x8.5 +10 (because of 10mm hub spacers, 5mm wheels spacers, and -3 camber) JNC 004

Thanks. Not going for the flush look, just like the look of 17's on the 2" drop, but don't want any rub. I like that almost stock look. Like it came from the factory like that. Don't like the tires rubbing when I hit dips or go over uneven spots on the fwy.

Gotcha, okay cool. Definitely roll the fenders when you can. Keep your current wheels, or maybe when looking at some new wheels, keep the offset I told you in mind. It'll look great! I kind of miss just being on springs. When I get another car I'll definitely change this car from low to functional with some meaty tires and a raise in height

I miss being able to start up and take off. Having to fiddle with ride height before I move gets annoying

Hahaha yeah man my boy feels the same way with his bagged Subie. You have the manual air management? Regardless it must be nice to be on air :( I'll get there one day! Definitely trying to hop on a big body Lexus VIP build in the near future.
