i don't think so.
Variant 1: input 55w, output 80w
Variant 2: input 80w, output 80w

I have variant1. And on the bulb also stood 55w.

i think, the fuse will save this.

If something will damage i will order a full foglight set for the standard bulbs.

I hope the japanese electric will make a good job.

had them setup up as DRL's, but i had a switch to turn the daytime running lights on/off

had to mod the high beam bulb (9005) to fit in the low beam socket (9006), but it worked fine. i had a heavy duty wiring harness....but LOTS of guys on matrixowners.com run highs in their fogs and a couple run highs in their low beams too.....i havent heard of anyone burning up their harness....and lots have been running for years...

the luminatics started to fry my passenger side socket after about a year and 1/2. i simply bought ceramic connectors with pigtails and did a slight modification....

Exclamation

the 80w thing is bullshit. its just 55w. its also dimmer than a regular 55w bulb because of the yellow coating. either way though it looks sweet.

I sell and stock NOKYA bulbs now. I also sell the recommended wiring harness that goes with them. If you're melting wires, it's usually because you did the bulbs only and didn't include the harness.
