Sounds like a diesel engine
Hi Everyone,
First time car owner in the states. Yaris sedan base model 2007. 104+ miles, owner number 4 with the 3rd and second owner not having it for very long based on the car fax. The maintenance light came on recently but from the first I noticed the engine sounds like a diesel engine which I'm not used to since my mom had a yaris too and its a very quite car. Does it just need maintenance or is there something wrong? The sound dies down once I'm cruising but when i press on the gas it has that diesel engine sound. Thanks for your help.
