Recalls; Seat tracks/airbag light

It's been a while since I've been on here, and I'm not sure if this topic has been discussed. I recently just got a notice in the mail for a recall of my driver side seat tracks, so I called to schedule and appointment to get them changed out. At the same time my airbag light has been on and I had asked if they could look into it as part of the service. The lady on the phone looked recall database to see if there were any other recalls against my car, sure enough there was one for the coil wire (Clock spring) which is inside the steering wheel, this would be the reason for the airbag light being on and causing it not to deploy in the case of an accident. If anyone else is having this issue, I would call your local dealer and check into this. I hope this information helps.

Yes it has been posted in a thread in the General Section and in the DIY section
I got two preliminary notices saying there was a recall for the seat track and one for the spiral cable.
I have received a recall notice for the seat track but not one for the spiral cable yet.

Has anyone actually had these replaced yet? I've received both letters now, probably within 3 or 4 weeks ago. Yet I've heard nothing about it actually being fixed. Wish Toyota would get on the ball and get this taken care of.

I got the official recall letter telling me how to get the seat tracks replaced.
My car is a single driver so the tracks are never moved.
I am going to wait for the official spiral cable replacement letter. Then the dealer can do both at the same time.

both easy fix ...if u have a hb yaris the seat rails are on back order as for spiral cable that would be same day or next day part and it takes no time to do, the seat rails take way longer and are a pain in the butt...lol

I am getting lucky in that I have the VIN off my junkyard donor for my spare rails so my local dealer will be giving 2 sets.
