HID projector
Hi all,
I've found this ad for a HID projector I'm wondering if this package will come with everything I need to install a legal HID headlight. I've read the threads about the mistakes of using HID bulbs in reflector housings. I'm just unsure because under "Item Description", the photo didn't seem to include the projectors and the housing... http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...gory=33710null oh and I drive a 07 yaris sedan, is it the same for hatchback? Thnx for reading! |

That's a sweet deal.
It appears to be projector headlights with an HID kit. You'd get better performance by opening them up and installing good HID projectors and they will last longer with OEM ballasts and bulbs - but with a lot more work and money. Thing is - these are for a liftback. Sedan is different. |

wow, that's a great news and a real bad news at the same time...
I've found another store which sells 4dr projector headlights but it seems sketchy It doesn't seem to support xenon bulbs. Hope you can take a look at it Violin. Under "Info" tab "These headlights are originally designed to work with halogen bulbs. With some of these models, HID Xenon bulbs may be oversized (1-3mm) and may require professional modifications to fit into these headlights. We are not responsible for any technical issues or damages to these products." http://www.xtralights.com/index.asp?...OD&ProdID=2676 Last edited by wch821; 11-04-2008 at 04:02 PM. |

Looks to be liftback headlamps incorrectly labled as 4-door. Study the shape. |

Join http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/ and check the "for sale" threads. I got my RX-330 non-AFS projectors for $75 (pair). eBay is another good source if you know what your looking for. I'm not sure what projector would be the best fit for your Scion, but I'm sure someone at hidplanet has retrofitted one and can give you guidance. Feel free to PM me - I'll give you what help I can. |
