I use a gear oil pump, looks like a giant syringe. (or maybe a grease gun) $10 at Pep Boys.

here's a way to get the torque right of the drain and filler plugs if don't have a torque wrench . Take a black SHARPIE pen with fine/ultra fine tip and draw a line on the tranny and the plugs before you remove them so they line up when retightened . Can be tightened a little bit more . That's how I did it for the gear oil changes . Also helps to mark the plugs with a F for FILLER PLUG and D for DRAIN PLUG or just one of the two . That way they line up properly . WAL-MART has a funnel with a clear plastic hose that can be inserted into the filler hole . Takes about 1 hour or so on 1st try . Gets easier second time around . Good Luck .

I bought some clear tubing and a funnel (Under $5). Put the tubing into the fill hole, put the funnel into the other end (snake tube up into the engine bay). Pour 2 quarts of fluid into the funnel. When you're done, pull out the tube, let any excess dribble out, plug everything up, drive :D

find window cleaner and paper towels to work well for cleaning up the oil that gets on the block . Changing gear oil is a fairly simple task .

Run the car as fluid is being added?

Hi there -

If I'm adding transmission fluid where the dipstick is located (can I do that without draining, by the way?), should I run the car while adding it?

Thanks so much.
