power door lock problem

hi guys, my 07 hb power door locks just started giving me problems. i can lock the doors but it will not unlock them. its not hard to reach over and unlock the passenger side door but the hatch is a pain to always have to use the key to unlock. is this difficult to fix? is this going to cost me a lot of money if i bring it in to a shop? thanks guys

Do you hear sound from any of the locks when you press the unlock switch?

OK. In that case, I would think that either the "unlock detection switch" is stuck on one of the three lock assemblies or that the main body ECU has a bad driver for the unlock mode.

You can test the first by unplugging each of the lock connectors to see if the problem goes away when one is unplugged. If the problem doesn't go away with one of the three, then the next step would be to check the output from the body ECU to verify that it is not driving in the unlock direction. If that is the case, then the entire unit would have to be replaced.

Excellent! The center switch was probably just stuck, locking out the unlock.
