Strange AC and braking problem

good day

my wife has a 2006 or 2007 yaris. its the Japanese version right hand drive sedan

she is experience a problem where she turns on the AC, the blower engages but no cold air is emitted. If let on when the car reaches a high speed the would blow cold for a few minutes and then stop, sometimes it doesn't engage at all. We tried refrigerant but no luck.

ALSO

when the ac begins to blow cold air the brakes would go soft and the car would jerk forward which is really strange. I have discovered an ac line running behind the left front wheel back into the engine bay

anyone has any ideas

A/c

Air has to flow through the condenser . check your electric fan to make sure it's running when you turn the A/c on.
