Official SoCal Chat Thread

What's up SoCal!

I see members posting throughout yarisworld, so I thought that a thread for us to BS would be cool. Doesn't have to be just SoCal though, anyone can chime in.

It's sad looking at this regional thread, it goes from 2016 straight to 2013 on the 1st page lol.

Anyone interested in a meet?

Well, Phoenix practically a suburb of SoCal, so maybe I qualify. Just about everyone who lives here, moved here from the Midwest or SoCal.

If someone wants to put together a meet, I'm game. I've got lots of time until I find a real job again. Best to do it while the weather's nice... oh wait...

Right on Ern!

Scratch, if you're planning to drive out here, I'd feel bad if the turn out was small! A group Yaris cruise to Toyotafest in May might make the trip more worthwhile!

Hey Ern, I was looking at your 2015 thread of pictures from past meets. Who would've thunk that Super Autobacs would have turned into a DMV lol.

And also, I swore I thought I saw you one day making a left onto Valley View going north from Crescent around Cypress a month ago. Black Yaris, lowered, and matte black wheels, fits the description really well. ;)

Ha, it really does fit the description, but a month ago I still had my black gloss wheels on and don't recall being in that area.

I moved to the 57/10 fwy area about 4 years ago, but my parents are still in my hometown of Anaheim. My better half's family is in Bellflower, so I'm in and around all those parts, but up until recently we've been driving the Honda full time just to be safer than sorry regarding the Takata airbag in my car.

I didn't know that about Super Autobacs! Haven't been by there in a long time. That post from 2015 was a reminder post - that meet happened back in '07 '08!

Ah figured not, I don't remember it having black plates. ;)

lol interestingly enough, it has good reviews for a DMV. :o

Ugh, flying to Michigan today for a week, play in snow and then miss Cali weather lol.

Thanks man!

Weathers been pretty bipolar here. Yesterday it snowed in the morning, rained nonstop in the afternoon, and high winds when we were driving back to the hotel at night, scary stuff! Mazda3 was being blown left and right on the highway, can't imagine how the Yaris would've felt lol. Today the suns out with some clouds, no wind, and pretty damn beautiful.

View from outside my hotel room this morning.

Yesterday this was all white lol.

This is what happens when you're a California boy that doesn't know how to Michigan.

That dusk pic over the golf course is spectacular.

I lol'd at the snow pic when I originally saw it on Instagram.
