It's an efficiency upgrade (lighter weight, less load) not a power adder.

It is much easier to stall a manual Yaris (finicky clutch combined with low torque at engagement rpm) with an NST pulley due to less rotation enertia. For the same reason the R's spin up faster once you're underway, into the powerband and going through the gears.

as weird as this sounds, i haven't stalled my Yaris since putting on the pulley kit, and I always stall the thing with that horrid clutch.

And as was said, it won't add any power, it will remove weight, which frees up power to go to the wheels.

Me neither. The motor will also DEcelerate more quickly with a lighter pulley.

It's a quick no-brainer.

if you don't plan for a supercharger, get the underdrive crank pulley....it has better benefits than the stock-sized lightweight pulley (i know from experience)

since i'be been driving to fall river every day( about an hour and a half) I can really say the pulley set helps me get better gas mileage. The car seems to just float at certain revs when I take my foot off the gas. We'll see how my next tank of gas goes, but my last one i hit 38 mpg with ac on and averaging 70 or so on the highway.

It would be nice if they were re-engineering it with a little more material around the crank bolt.

That's pretty. Yeah, but you have it now, and I'm only in R&D mode, so it's all good.
