Thumbs up TIP: Turn off VSC and TRC

1. Push the clutch pedal
2. Pull the handbrake (hold it)
3. Start engine
4. 2x foot break (at the second hold the break)
5. Handbrake: open - pull - open - pull
6. again 2x foot brake, but this time do NOT hold it)

Then should turn on the VSC and TRC lights.

i have a yaris TS with keylessGO... i don´t know how it is at the normal with key. and i also don´t know how it is at the automatic yaris.....
please just test it. at the automatic yaris i think you must not push the clutch pedal from #1 (hahahahah, because someone has stolen it)

to active the VSC and TRC just restart the engine.

and now. just

sooo. i write it again, after it was deleted from the hack.

hahaha cool, nice way to hack the car

But I wonder.... outside of Europe and maybe Japan, I don't think any models have traction or stability control? I mean, some models don't even have ABS!

In my country is ABS obliged on each new car sold. If the car has not you get no license plate.

I hate that all these features are being mandated by governments. Like TPMS, I know how to check my own f'ing tire pressure... Make these things (ABS, TPMS, VSC, TC, etc.) options or at least disableable.

I think the whole Ford Explorer exploding tires/rollovers thing brought the TPMS thing about.
Just a guess.....

that was a ford problem, not a tire manufacture problem ;) ford specced a too-low rated tire for the heavy ass SUV's

Yaris with VSC/TRC got factory rear disc brakes. No discs, no VSC/TRC.

Great "trick"!

Works perfectly (European Yaris).

I also saw it once on some LEXUS forum (Polish) so probably it works for various TOYOTA / LEXUS vehicles.

Yaris in my region come only with ABS and Brake Assist.
TRC and VSC are not even optional.
