Calling NorCal Yaris Clubs

My name is Andrew and I am working with Toyota to extend an invite Scion and other Toyota Car Club members to the 34th Annual Rolex Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca Raceway August 17th-19th in Northern California.

The Monterey Historic Race is one of the biggest 3-day automotive events in the country and people come from all over (even from overseas) to attend.

There will be plenty of sights to see and things to do courtesy of Toyota including a Car Club BBQ on Saturday evening and a "Race Of Legends" which features living legends of motorsports racing each other in Scion tCs.

Legends participating in the race for charity include: Bobby Rahal, Al Unser Sr, Bobby Unser, Johnny Rutherford, Parnelli Jones, Emerson Fittipaldi, Vic Elford, Derek Bell, and Ove Andersson.

More info on the race can be found here: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/22/r...rey-historics/

Toyota will have several cars on display including a steam powered car, turbine powered car, The Bonneville Prius and..

The Fine-S concept which is an illustration of performance technology mixed with fuel efficiency.

The Fine-S is a hydrogen fuel cell car that has 4-wheel control and perfect weight balance.

By registering for the event and becoming part of the Car Corral you will get:

-A free Toyota folding chair for all registered car owners

-Placement in the Toyota Car Corral area that is on the track infield (and not on dirt)

-Access to a Toyota-only private Skybox over looking the track. Only those in the Toyota Car Corral will have access to this Skybox

-Courtesy services from Toyota throughout the weekend (Free ice cold water, tram services, etc)

We are also having a car show among those in the Corral

Toyota will also be offering prizes for the following catagories:

-Best Milage to the event.

-Highest odometer reading

-Lowest mileage on pre-1987 cars

-Furthest distance traveled

-Best of Show (judging apperance, modifications, interior, and rare parts)

-Most original design/display setup

-Car Club with most members in attendance.

So far we have one of the biggest Lexus Clubs in NorCal (ClubLexus) attending, as well as vintage Toyotas from T.O.R.C., a group of Matrxes from BayAreaMatrix, and a growing number of Scions from Scikotics and ScionLife.com

We hope that all the Yaris owners out there will want to come out and represent!

If you would like to attend please visit this link to pre-register:

If you have any questions feel free to email me at AndyZ@rwb-llc.com

This event would be ideal for a Northern California club that may post on this board. However if you're in SoCal or that reigon it would make a cool road trip.

I hope to see you there!
