Without Thermostat I'm using my yaris 2008

Hi guys, this is my first post I need your help, Yesterday my cars radiator blow up like hell (a big leak water coming out continuously) I go to the mechanic he change my radiator with the new one but he take out my cars thermostat and cut it and placed thermostat cap only into the engine. I drive today I feel somthing going wrong in engine. Help me out with this thanks in advance.

So mechanic did not replace and put a thermostat in?

I'm sure it's taking a long time to warm up.

trying to cause more problems to make more money. get an OEM thermos from camelback toyota or the internet.

Running without a thermostat will make the car run rich (computer increases the fuel to air ratio) and ruin your catalytic converter, foul the plugs and do other bad things. It won't ruin your engine immediately but take darkshadowfox's advice and get a thermostat installed as soon as possible.

Yes bro.. he just cut thermostat head and place it in engine. Yes you are right, it's taking time to warm up.
