Clicking noise when jerking steering wheel side to side/hit bumps left side

I noticed this a couple days ago. When i jerk my steering wheel side to side real quick, before it starts moving the wheels, i hear a clicking noise like something is lose. Also when my left (driver side) wheel hits a bump i hear that noise. The noise does not happen while i turn. So i dont believe its my axle. I hear the noise coming not from the wheel/knuckle, but more inside near the middle of the engine bay. I have also noticed a difference in my alignment. Might it have something to do with the tie rod? I have about 18k miles, and havent had any accidents/work done to that side of my car. I did however hit a dip pretty hard the other day and i am thinking that may have caused it. Thanks for any insight on this issue in advance.

Now is this a REAL bad clicking? I have a 2010 that I bought in Dec, and I hear some noise when I turn out of my garage (to the right), or hit a speed bump in my complex (speed limit 10) but it doesn't really sound bad to me. I had an alignment after I lowered my car and I can't remember if I heard the noise before I lowered it or not.

Might just be a normal noise that we are not accustomed to?

Well its loud enough to alert me cause I've never heard it before. I dont know too much about tie rods so I dont know what could be wrong with it or if this is causing my problem. I definitley noticed my alignment went off and im not sure if its just my imagination but i swear i feel like my wheel/s are changing directions on their own like something IS loose.

sounds like you damaged a tie rod.. order a new set from toyota (they're not expensive) and take them when you take the car to get aligned. it's really not a big deal.
