All terrain tires for cars?

Eventually I want my Yaris to have All Terrain tires, a brush guard with Hella fog lights, a roof rack with basket, mud guards and a hitch.....the brush guard will have to be a custom job but everything else seems do-able.

Where in the hell do you get all terrain tires for CARS though? I've found snow tires and I've found rally tires (hella expensive), but I just want some nobby looking tires for the Yaris.

I tried searching by size but apparently A/T tires don't come in 195/60/15 (my current size). I know there are trucks on the road like older Nissan and Toyota pickups that had 14" and 15" wheels from the factory so there should be plenty of 15" A/T tires out there but I can't find them.

Captain, While I don't have an answer to your question I'm picturing the final product in my head and it sounds pretty cool. Good luck on your tire search. I'm sure some one on here has the answer if they exist.

CTscott used some ATV tires for crashy, but that car is off-road only. Unsure if you can use those on the road, and he put on a 4" lift kit.

nah, never heard of Tag Rally Sport.

oh....and eventually when the paint is old and faded the car will be done in a solid OD green matte finish with matte black for all of the off-roady bits.

this car also already has the Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust, MI short shift kit, TRD rear sway bar, MI lightweight crank pulley and more and will be getting an MI intake manifold and DC Sports header in the future as well. I plan on keeping it for a long time. It will be a nice clean little street sleeper for the forseeable future, but eventually it will be a crazy off-roader (or at least look like one, hehe).

For that (car) size, maybe try to find the most aggressive snow tire available???

Why would you want the sway bar for of road? You gonna take it off?

Because I don't like floppy bodies on my cars, the sway bar stiffens it up and I like that. It's not like I'm needing maximum ground clearance for Baja-ing or anything....just want the car to look neat and take it occasionally on some light offroading (like I do now).

Snow tires wouldn't last in the south. You'd be lucky to get 10k out of a set down there in the heat. A 205/70 is 9% larger than a 185/60(almost 3 inches in diameter). Your speedo and odometer would be thrown off. I've been considering similar mods to my 2008 HB. I'm not going to off road it. I just need a little more clearance for snow and the ability to toss a few 2x4's on the roof now and then.

I've been looking for something similar for rally/rallycross and share in your frustration. I've found some general guidance for rallycross use, but not much that can be used on the Yaris. Most people recommend a M+S tire with the "mountain and snowflake" logo for dirt rallycross use, if only for the aggressive tread blocks. There are some special soft compound "ice" tires that would indeed be wasted in that temperature range, but I don't see the M+S wearing excessively from just heat.

The Maxxis Bighorn tires that I run on Crashy are awesome for both snow and off-roading. I would love to run her on a rally course (without the plow) to see how they would perform. They are not rated for road use, but I've done 60+ on the road with them.
