squeaky clutch - Toyota Yaris Forums

was catching a late night snack at burger king, and as a i pressed the clutch in to shift into gear and leave, i heard an annoying squeak. the burger king worker had an awful look on her face when she heard it, kinda embarrassing. it squeaks every time i depress the pedal now. never noticed it before. easy to hear outside of car. do i need to get under my car with a good can of wd40?

ah....throwout bearing....very annoying isnt it?

helpful hints...
dont ride clutch
dont hold clutch in at red or stop lights
dont rev engine higher than needed to get car moving when clutch is being held in...

the throwout bearing is a partial use bearing and was never meant to be used all the time or for long periods of time
