Post Yaris Engine Shake

Hi,
The engine on my Yaris starts to shake when in idle and as I start to accelerate I can feel the engine sputtering. Any suggestions before I take it to the dealers.
thanks

Is the Check Engine light on? If so, you need to get the code. Is this car at a high enough mileage to need spark plugs?

Thanks Yaris Hilton,
No check light on, car has roughly 60,000 miles on display, I don't have the service history so not sure when the spark plugs were last changed?

I think the spark plugs are supposed to be good for 100k but don't quote me. I feel like I read that somewhere.

At least the U.S. models have 100,000 mile iridium plugs.

If it's 2003, it might have platinum plugs and need to be replaced at 50,000 miles. It could also be clogged injectors.

Yeah, I think the plugs were platinum in those days. My daughter's 2001 Echo started acting that way as it was getting close to 100,000 miles with those 50,000 mile plugs in it. Changed the plugs, cleared the random misfiring code, and everything was fine.

Run a bottle of injection cleaner through it from you local parts store.

Edit: you add it to your gas when you fill up.

the '08 sedan idles rough when at redlight , etc.. When I put it in neutral it's less noticeable . Put TECHRON with a fill of 93 octane to no avail .
